while the pessimist thinks far too deep
and the optimist smiles in their sleep
while the cynic argues with the scarred,
and the romantic is somehow closer yet lost to the far
while the idealist tries hard to believe
and the sceptic prefers coffee with their tea
the realist will always realize,
to count their nods
when a wise surrenders their advice
the realist will always realize,
to mount their response
and only simple words
confuse the mesmerised.
